May 28, 1983: I had mixed feelings on this day. Between the emotions of embarking myself in a new place and leaving home at that tender age was a lot to overcome. I was immediately immersed into the cadet college culture from getting a crew cut to wearing uniforms etc. My parents were there with me to support. Class 7 and 8 were very difficult for me from the perspective of how seniors treated us in that environment with or without any reason. It started to get better from grade 9 onwards.
